CROSSING PARIS AND THE HAUTS-DE-SEINE REGION
A unique walk through some of the capital's greatest monuments. Come and cover the 28km of France's longest walk!
40th edition
14 September 2025
As it does every year, the Île-de-France Rowing League will be organising the 40th edition of the Traversée de Paris et des Hauts-de-Seine rowing race, in partnership with the Hauts-de-Seine departmental committee, which has been running the event for 16 years now.
More than 1,300 rowers are expected on Sunday 14 September 2025 for this great rowing festival!
More than 260 boats will set off to cover the 28km of this unique rowing event in the capital.
The success of the event crosses borders, with more than 10 nations represented each year.
Taking a rowing tour of Paris is a very special experience!
The organisers, with 150 volunteers on hand for the occasion, will be trying to make the event as friendly and unforgettable as possible for all those taking part.
Frédéric ANDOLFI
Chairman, Ligue Île-de-France Aviron
The Traversée de Paris is our sport's flagship rowing regatta in Paris and the Hauts de Seine. With a team of 150 volunteers to welcome more than 250 crews (1,200 participants) and their families, and with nearly 30% rowers from all over Europe, the Ile de France Rowing League, together with the departmental rowing committee, its four clubs and in particular the Boulogne 92 club, are proud of the organisation and would like to thank the partners (the French Rowing Federation, the Hauts de Seine department, the City of Paris and Voies navigables de France) for this unique opportunity to see Paris in a different light.
Alain TASSY
Chairman, CDA 92
Those passing by the Pont de Sèvres at 7.30am on September 15 discovered an unusual traffic jam, not on the road, but on the Seine. 269 crews, including 70 foreigners, totalling more than 1,300 rowers, took the start of the 39th Traversée de Paris et des Hauts-de-Seine. This traditional but highly modern event, as urban sports events have become, is more than just a leisure sport. It promotes tourism and the reputation of Paris and the Hauts-de-Seine region, as well as health, disabled and adapted sport. Having managed to organise it every year despite the Covid, the organisers are fighting to maintain Europe's biggest river rowing event, which will be celebrating its 40th anniversary, despite the economic crisis.
